Switching on Inventory and Accessing Quotes

Go to Admin > Business Settings > System Settings > half way down the page you have the option to turn on the Inventory "Only use components from Inventory". Check this and save.

Before proceding to design or alter systems, ensure that you go to the Inventory page and add items, particularly inverters and modules that have been used in existing systems designs.

Go to Admin > Inventory

  1. Select the brand of the component from the first drop down list
  2. Select the module or inverter model from the dropdown lists. The component will appear in the inventory table. This table can be edited directly.
  3. Click in the 'Wholesale/Buy Price' column next to the component. Add the price (no $)
  4. Click in the Mark-up column and add the markup percentage (A dollar mark-up can be applied by unchecking the next box)
  5. For other inventory items, add them using the blank row at the bottom of this table. Make sure you select a 'Category' from the list on the right hand side. This determines where the component will be able to be selected in the system design stage. (eg. isolator, fuse, mounting)
Now when you go to a system design page, additional tabs will be available at the top of the page to  move to the quote. The quote will auto-populate based on System design selections. Add labour and other items to the quote using the selectors at the top of the quote page.
